Great Blue Heron – rare in winter – seen near Otonabee Inn in Peterborough

I was out today looking for the Snowy Owl  that was spotted off County Rd. 19 but no luck. I did, however, see this Great Blue Heron between the Navy Club and Otonabee Inn off of Lansdowne St. East.

Note: Catherine Paradis saw what may have been the same bird on December 26. It was in the creek that runs east of Ashburnham Road and north of Marsdale Crescent.
