Juvenile Northern Shrike at Lock 19 in Peterborough

We had a juvenile Northern Shrike in our backyard in town at Lock 19 this afternoon.  Interestingly I also spotted one just west of the Tanney cabin on the Kawartha Nordic ski trails at Haultain yesterday. Peter Beales, River Road South, Peterborough

Busy feeders since the ice storm!

Algonquin Park Birding Report: 26 December 2013

Snowy Owl near Pontypool

  I received a report today that a Snowy Owl was sited off Hwy 35 at Ballyduff Rd.  Ken Branscombe also reported seeing a white owl in the vicinity of Hwy 7A & Pit Rd last week. Jane Zednik, Millbrook
