On Jan. 22, 2015 on the Otonabee River north of Lock 25, there was a flock of Common Goldeneye, 6 males, 2 females. Just north of Lock 23 at 2:45pm, we also had a possible sighting of a male and female Barrow’s Goldeneye?? I’m not an expert on ducks but these looked like the pictures in my book and looked sufficiently different from the flock of Common Goldeneye we had seen 15 minutes before.
