Great news: Two young Peregrine in nest in North Kawartha Township

Today, I saw and photographed two young Peregrines in a nest on a lakeside cliff in  North Kawartha Township. I did not see either of the adults, since they must have been away hunting for food.  Last year, the Peregrines nested in the same location and raised two young. This Read more…

At least one Peregrine has now returned to North Kawartha nest

We saw a single adult Peregrine on the “usual” nest in North Kawartha township last Sunday. It flew off and out of sight immediately. Guess it’s not used to traffic yet. Sorry we couldn’t identify the sex – perhaps male would be more likely? John & Marie Fautley
