Scarlet-cup fungus (Jennie Versteeg) Photo from April 21, 2013

I went out to Mark S. Burnham Provincial Park this morning and found a nice cluster of scarlet cup fungus. They are in the open, along the trail, in moist shade.  Well worth the mosquito bites! These were definitely not there a week ago. The scarlet-cups I found this morning are smaller than the one from this past April shown in the photo.
