This morning, on my drive in to work, I had a very early American Bittern fly over me at Highway 28 and the Eels Creek picnic area. I guess it might be time to check your local bittern breeding areas to see if they’re back calling. Just south of this location I also had 3 Wood Ducks fly over the road.

Location: Highway 28 at Eel’s Creek
