Wingless scorpion fly

Wingless scorpion fly

This afternoon, Feb. 15, I took the dog down to her favourite park, Little Cat just north of Kingston, for a walk on the south-end trail.
Someone’s been running a snowmobile over that track, so it makes for
easy walking. On the way back I found not one but 2 wingless scorpion flies trekking over the snow. The pickin’s were pretty slim, there were surprisingly very few snow fleas out and about.
