Giant Swallowtail on phlox – Tim Dyson
The number of Giant Swallowtails in the area has increased greatly in the last week or so. Yesterday we had two Giants on the same Butterfly Bush (Buddleia) in our garden in Lakefield. I also saw two more earlier in the day in the south of the county. And, the day before yesterday, I saw three on the Trans-Canada Trail section between Base and David Fife Lines. That same day my son had one in his yard on Burnham St.in Peterborough.
