Yesterday (May 25th, 12:06 PM) at the cottage in Brooks Bay, Jack’s Lake I saw a Five-lined Skink. I saw one several times last year at the same property but this one looked smaller to me and was in a different location. It’s the reward I got for putting in the ramp to the dock. It always makes me happy to see one of these organisms. At first I thought it was a baby garter snake but when it moved then I saw its bright blue tail. I have reported the sighting to the NHIC and to Graham Cameron in MNR Bancroft.   Sheelagh Hysenaj
