Around 11:00 a.m., I watched for about half an hour a Barred Owl catching frogs in our small pond on our property . The owl used a tall deadwood as a perch. A Blue Jay kept close to the owl and when the owl caught its prey, the jay would swoop in on the owl. My daughter went for a jog at about 4 p.m. and came upon a Fisher crossing the road.
