On September 12 at 7 AM, I sighted a Trumpeter Swan in the marsh in front of my trailer. He remained there feeding on the bottom until 12 noon when a kayaker unintentionally came around the corner and scared him off. He did not have any tags on him and the front side of his neck had a faint brownish discoloration. The Trumpeter that we usually see in the area is tagged. He was a beauty!
