American Toad by Tracey Carr

American Toad by Tracey Carr

Our latest squatter is an American Toad.  We’ve never had one in the yard before – just in the hood, but this one was visible (and audible).  I know they aren’t rare but I always get a kick out of seeing what makes the noise.  Here is his YouTube debut – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EITPpFd2iSM.

Also this is the first day I’ve seen a Rose-breasted Grosbeak.  Only a single one at the feeder, but he’s been gorging himself.
