Friends of mine spotted a Great Egret on Highway 62 near L’Amble, south of Bancroft. Sent me pictures to prove the sighting. Did not realize that they had moved so far north.

Sunday was the last day of the White-crowned Sparrows; Monday there were none.

Three Osprey sitting on the crossbars of hydro pole on Herrington Line this morning and one in the air. Rather unusual.

Robin, grackles and starlings are already feeding young. Have not found the phoebe nest for this year.

Lots of white bloom at the moment with serviceberry, wild plum and crabapples.
