Glaucous Gulls:  On December 16, I went up to Trent University to see the two juvenile Glaucous Gulls that are hanging out with the Herring Gulls near the Rowing Club. The birds were seen on the ice on the west side of the river and on the compost piles, just south of the Rowing Club. This species breeds in the high Arctic. Drew Monkman

Varied Thrush: I took a rewarding trip to the Bark Lake Leadership Center near Gooderham today and got some pictures of the Varied Thrush that is coming to the feeder at the office.  Carl Welbourn
